Conditions were perfect for this fall moment. The sun lit the rain clouds in the distance and illuminated a hillside of colorful aspen trees. I found this horse in the distance so I ran around to line it into the shot. I call it “Storm Horse”.

On a clear night in early June I set up for a milky way shot behind Devils Tower in Wyoming. The galaxy rose up over the tower and just before midnight, the moon started to rise too. The moonrise glow on the clouds make this one of my favorite shots!

After a stormy day in Conifer, I woke up early to shoot sunrise. Eventually the sun came up above the clouds and lit the many layers of foothills including the back of Cathedral Spires. In the distance, Pikes Peak rises above the front range!

I finally found this hard to access waterfall near Telluride, CO in 2023. I scrambled down the steep ravine and started shooting different angles. Suddenly, I found these leaves on this rock and wasn’t going to move them!

During a fall trip to the Grand Tetons, I went to find the classic Ansel Adams Snake River Overlook spot. Although the trees have grown, the beauty remains the same! The first dawn light lit the peaks as the fog cleared from above the riverbanks!

Just before the sunrise light hit the continental divide, the sky lit with color! I stood on the overpass in Genesee above I-70 with my tripod and was able to catch a 2.5 second exposure of the moving vehicles. A beautiful moment in a beautiful place!
